With American Idol, 24, Grey's Anatomy and the rest of the network shows winding down their seasons, what are you going to watch this summer? HGTV is hoping that high on your list will be their latest design show, HGTV's $250,000 Challenge...

In HGTV's latest addition to their roster of design shows, five families, who all live on the same leafy street in Sherman Oaks, work on upgrading their homes in the hopes of winning a $250,000 cash prize that will go towards paying off their mortgages. Hosted by Drew Lachey, each week a host from one of HGTV's popular shows: Kim Myles, David Bromstad, Genevieve Gorder, Carter Oosterhouse, Russ Hemmis, Carmen De La Paz, Steve Watson, Brooks Utley, and Andy Hampton, leads the families as they compete in weekly home improvement and design challenges. Focusing on one room at a time, the winning families move on to the next challenge and toward the ultimate goal of a newly renovated home, the approval of judges Kristan Cunningham and John Gidding and the $250,000. Sounds a lot like HGTV's version of Apartment Therapy's own home cure!
