How cool is this DIY solution architect Dan Herchenroether built for his wall mounted flat panel (it's quite a chunky model): a hidden cubby hole where the clutter of everything connected to his panel can be hidden away, but easily accessed when needed. We only wished Dan didn't mount his TV over a fireplace…an architect should know better about ergonomics!

an architect made this? it looks like a college freshman made it.
i would NOT trust those flimsy hinges to hold a TV, especially if you are going to be flipping it up and down every day.
How do you keep the electronics inside from overheating?
There is no way that would pass fire code.
