During the Holidays, our homes tends to see a higher visitor count than usual. When I play the role of host I always make every effort to see to my guests' needs and simplify wherever possible. For my tech savvy visitors I want to keep the wifi password tastefully accessible, so I took a page from this Tixeretne post, and then took a few artistic liberties with the presentation.
While this post
suggests using the QR code as a wifi hub, not everyone goes that route. My method has our wifi password displayed prominently in the middle of a typography-based artwork for all to see. It's both functional and beautiful, blending seamlessly with the rest of the room.
The CloudArt app has a wide variety of color, font, and shape options.
There are a variety of apps or services to make such a thing possible. For the desktop, Wordle
is easy to use and customizable, with a variety of fonts, colors, and shapes to choose from. Personally, I adore the CloudArt app
for iPad and get lost in the creation process. To have the wifi password at center stage, I repeated the phrase continuously and accompanied it with an appropriate poem
