What's a hidden tech gem? It's when you buy a product, but end up falling in love with something that came with the product and use it even more than the main product. The great thing about these gems is that they are a bonus, since you get the product you wanted and this cool little extra.

The earliest example of a hidden tech gem came at my 1st birthday. I received a doll, one of those pull the string and she talks kinds, and promptly tossed the doll aside and used the box as a car. My parents did not intend to get me a "car" but were still pleased that I had fallen in love with at least part of my present.
A more recent example of the hidden tech gem came when I opened up the Philips Bikini Perfect. Inside the package were several pieces and accouterments for getting fuzz free like the ones shown above. The object that most captured my attention however was not the exfoliating glove or the epilator, but the LED tweezers.
These tweezers are awesome. The LED light is a stroke of genius and it's a wonder that there are not more tweezers with LED lights. Not only are these brilliant for removing hard to see hairs, but they are the cat's pajamas when it comes to cleaning keyboards and working with electronics.
Other hidden tech gems? The pouch for the Bowers & Wilkins P5 headphones is great for travel as it's the ideal size for putting in the seat back in front of you. Before takeoff I put the items that I want most accessible during the flight into the pouch, close the magnetic latch, and stow it in the seat back.
Hidden tech gems are a total boon and we love discovering new ones.

That's funny. I just saw those exact tweezers for sale on their own at wal-mart while we were waiting to check out.
Oh no, you just had to post the $300 headphones my husband has been lusting after for months, didn't you? ;) (also I would never, ever stick those in in an airplane seat-pouch! Too painful if you get frazzled and forget them when you leave.)
The tweezers are goofy but also awesome - I bet my mom would love them. Stocking stuffer idea!
got a graphing calculator for school and the usb cord it came with is one of the best I've used, its super long and extremely flexible yet durable at the same time, hardly touch the calculator besides a few games here and there, hmm maybe thats why I'm not in school anymore, jk jk
My most recent HP printer purchase came packed in a shopping bag and a little pouch that held the power supply and stuff. They both went into my suitcase and used them on vacation.
My MyTouch phone came in this case that zippers up. Perfect for carrying all those usb cords, ac adapters, etc. for all my tech gadgets.
