Hide Your TV With Artwork & Sliding Closet Tracks

It's OK to be sick of all this "hiding in plain sight" shenanigans. For the folks who want to literally tuck their flat-screen TVs away, check out this DIY project that features ceiling-mounted sliding closet tracks.

Can't afford a motorized TV hiding system? Yeah us either. That's why we're really digging the simplicity of this idea.

The idea is to hide your TV behind two painted and decorated plywood panels that are hung from sliding closet door hardware. Lowe's shows us how it's done:


It reminds us of this fancy pull-down projector screen TV camouflage from Draper, but on a smaller (and cheaper!) DIY scale.


This is a great option for renters, considering you only need to make a few easily-patchable holes in the ceiling. Plus, you can decorate the panels to your taste with paint or wood stain.
