When I first saw this space I thought it must be in a children's museum or fancy preschool. It's actually in a hotel, the David Citadel Hotel in Jerusalem, which, as far as I'm concerned, just threw down the design gauntlet to the world's hotels.

The 1000 sq. ft. space is modern, sleek, playful and decidedly low-tech. It's a project by the design studio Sarit Shani Hay which specializes in creatively innovative spaces for children. While it's unlikely that most of us will ever visit the 5 star David Citadel Hotel, it would be great if this were the start of a new trend of good, thoughtful design for kids in hotels.
