Is "stylish library" an oxymoron? We haven't had a chance to check it out in person, but loved seeing photos of the green (LEED certified), modern and, yes, stylish new branch of the New York Public Library profiled in the New York Times this weekend. Knoll chairs for the grownups and Panton Jr. chairs for the young set. Not to mention all the green features including a checkout desk made of recycled cardboard, recycled plastic shelving and carpet made from recycled tires.
