There are plenty of budget looking shower audio systems out there, but what to do if you want something beyond tinny weak sounds? We think the Kohler K-8033-CP SoundTile Speakers might be the answer for those looking for a sophisticated-integrated (and pricier) solution for their in-bathroom entertainment needs.
The Kohler SoundTile Speakers are designed to mount close to flush with typical 2" x 4" wall tiling systems, alongside work with Kohler's WaterTile bodysprays and showerheads.
The speakers were designed with Polk Audio, the water resistant speakers can be integrated with any audio system or DTV Showering Experience (Kohler's all-in-one control system for light, steam, shower and sound). Prices have dropped significantly since original release and you can find these speakers now for around $220/pair online. Of course, you'll still have to add the additional cost of a components and wiring, but then this isn't your typical off the shelf solution.

I don't know that the bathroom is a place I hang out long enough for the quality of audio to matter much. Taking a long (more than 15 minutes) shower or a soak in the tub is a waste of water. The acoustics in the bathroom (lots of echo and reflection) would be a challenge for any speaker system to overcom.
DH wired speakers into our bathroom & I'm able to hear my iPod from my bedroom & even FoxNews from my TV while I'm getting ready. We spend a lot of time in our master bedroom & bath so this is by far one of the many things I love about being married to a techie guy. :D
