I'm sorry - I think bar carts are in bad taste. Just put the liquor and the bar accessories away. They're close enough at hand and needn't become a design element.
I love my bar cart! I don't have enough storage at my house, so I repurposed an IKEA cutting board-topped cart and made a bar cart.

Ahem. Sorry, but I'm very fundamentalist when it comes to booze.
And clearly Janet UWS isn't entertaining much (or is entertaining in Utah) if she thinks keeping these things stashed away places them close enough at hand for entertaning. It's time consuming enough whipping up cocktails without having to root through the back of a cupboard or drawer trying to find the shaker or the Campari.
I love both of those carts, and the Crosshatch decanter is gorgeous too.
bar carts are not in bad taste, I would venture to guess if someone did not like my bar cart then they would not like being a guest in my home.
