For us apartment dwellers, lack of storage space and seating can become an issue when entertaining. So I'm loving all of the stackable, stowable, and squishable occasional seating options on the market! Poufs and pillows can be pricey or practical — and there's even one solution you may already own!
HIGH:
• I'm in love with this chunky knit sack from Zilalila, but at €499, it's the priciest of the bunch. Nest XXL, available through Lovely Dutch.
• With its graphic pattern and fringe, this pillow looks both modern and rustic. Cavern Collection, $620.
• This isn't your old college beanbag. In an ombre faux fur, luxe is more like it. Pottery Barn, $199.
• A shaggy chenille, you can call this pouf your Komondor. Chiasso, $98.
LOW:
• Chunky knit poufs for less than that other place. World Market, $69.99.
• In solid or chevron, this round pillow fits any décor. Wayfair, $39.99.
• Stack in a corner or slide under your coffee table, these square floor pillows come in a range of colors. Urban Outfitters, $39.
• Need an option that isn't going to be a pet hair magnet? The Alseda stool is for you. IKEA, $29.99.
AND POSSIBLY FREE:
• Have an old Papasan chair collecting dust somewhere? Grab the cushion and sprawl out! Pier 1, $50.

White Enamel Flatwa...
Great suggestions. I have a floor pillow in my entryway to use for sitting when I put on/take off my shoes, and to make it a little more comfortable for guests when I ask them to do the same (I have carpet!).
I JUST told my friends that I had an urge to make a bean bag chair!!! And, now, this post comes... :)
uh, you forgot the Fatboy! http://www.fatboyusa.com/
my sister has one, and i used to tease her about it until i took a nap in it one day. it's amazing ...
Re: #3
Just no.
I scored a couple of square one-button floor pillows from the Crate & Barrel outlet a couple of years ago - I'd think any place like that or TJ Maxx or maybe even Home Goods would be your #1 option for the low-end of these.
I have an orange pouf from World Market. It's changed the dynamic of our small living room without cluttering the house too much. Our friends have a giant 'potato' bean bag in their TV room. During OU games there's fierce competition for who gets the hot seat. At half time the kids practice flips onto it.
great names ad great brands...are these bagsfilled with styrofoam/thermocol beans??
My favorite is the chevron from wayfair.
I covered a large pillow with a shaggy black wool runner from ikea... I'm always dragging it somewhere in my house to sit on it.
OMG, my dogs would so love # 3! I used to have huge beanbag that was given to me by a fried (she traded it with me for something else) and all my dogs wanted it (I had 3 at that time). Unfortunately, I had to get rid of it because my dogs got skunked and before I realized what happened I let them into the house and they rubbed their faces on it.
I've had a couple eazybean square bean bags for at least 6 years. They are filled with recyclable materials and come in designy colors. I've had them so long that I have actually re-dyed the covers (which come off and are washable - bonus for pet owners). I highly recommend them!

My kitty would take over #3 - but then again she owns everything in the house.

What about folding up a duvet in an extra large pillow case (probably would have to make it). It would also store the duvet away if you have a sofa-bed, but limited closet space and add extra seating.
