Since my visit to America's Test Kitchen, I've had metal rolling carts on the brain. Every station has at least one, and the test cooks put them to good use. From adding storage to speeding clean up, there's a cart that can fit in your kitchen at any price point.
Test Kitchen Director Erin McMurrer sung the praises of these simple workhorses, and made a very good case as to why even small kitchens should have one. Here's the high & the low:
HIGH:
• Advance Tabco Stainless Steel Utility Cart, Kitchen Source, $696.84
• Danver Stainless Steel Kitchen Cart, Wayfair, $475
• Bayou Classic Stainless Steel Serving Cart, Overstock, $179.99
• InterMetro Folding Chef's Cart, The Container Store, $179
• FLYTTA Kitchen cart, IKEA, $159
LOW:
• 3-Tier Stainless Steel Trolley, Hotel Restaurant Supply, $84.84
• Stainless Steel Kitchen Workstation, Amazon, $84.54
• Wire Shelving Three-Tier Rolling Cart, Office World, $53.49
• BYGEL Utility cart, IKEA, $29.99
Do you use carts in the kitchen?
MORE CARTS ON APARTMENT THERAPY:

• Make a Rolling Office Cart for Your Peripherals

I have one that I use as a make shift bar
Great idea, especially for those with multiple mouths to take care of, however for me this would be too much of a reminder of my days as a busgirl--never again!
Thanks so much for posting - I asked this same question yesterday!
Glad I found one on cl for $20 a while back.
I've got a BYGEL, I like it for storage and mini-counter space, but it doesn't roll really well.
We have one as our dining table in the kitchen which is also where I start seeds, can work on various projects, etc. We have our recycling bin and dog food on the lower shelf. We have a smaller one off to the side that holds my ice cream maker on the lower shelf. I roll it around with a bucket of cleaner on top when washing the cabinets. You can save quite a bit if you have a used restaurant store nearby. A bit of elbow grease and they look great.
I love the black one from..cb2....I neeed one..I love the look and function for anything and anywhere..esp an apt. without many outlets..roll that cart to the available outlet with my coffeemaker/micro etc on it..and I'm all set!! Next apt. for sure...
You could bathe a baby in #3. (J/k)
Have you seen the preview of Ikea's Raskog trolley due out in April? Need.
I'm still in lust with this $50 red beauty from Harbor Freight. --> Red Cart

we've got a really cool pastel metal roller rack from the 50's...wish i could find a few more!
For some reason, my kitchen is built so the cooker is sideways, and there is a big gap along the wall, in between the stove and the counter, for opening the oven door. Can't turn the cooker around or it won't open all the way. Saw this post and then found the perfect steel rolly cart....at Value Village, hurrah! Fills the gap, serves as extra storage, and wheels out of the way when the oven is in use.
How did the RASKOG from Ikea that's coming out not make this list? Maybe it will get it's own post
