My visit to the Safavieh showroom at High Point this week was well timed - I not only got to go a tour of showroom(s) but I had the chance to say hello to Tom Filicia, whose new line of ikat inspired carpets were being shown.

Tom's eco-friendly Ikat collection is made from sustainable hemp and uses vegetable dyes for the deep, vibrant hues that are a key part of the look.

I also loved seeing the huge amount of new additions to Safavieh's line of flat weaves. As you can see from the selection show above, the mix of pattern and colors is fresh, relaxed and easy-care livable with a touch of classic decorating glam. The projected retail price points are very reasonable, too.

White Enamel Flatwa...
these rugs are all gorgeous, but am i the only one that thinks that in the staged photo above, the rugs clashes horribly with the furniture and color scheme?
Rug in picture is stunning, but it screams out for only white/beige leather furniture and glass/acrylic tables. It is the star of the show.
