You plug it into your free USB port on your machine and then you enter your PIN via the built in keypad. The drive has a tiny battery inside that lets you input your PIN and it create a 30 second window to plug it into your PC.

The sturdy IronKey Personal S200, combines software and hardware security built in on the drive itself. The drive uses hardware encryption, so that you don't have any apps running on your PC that can be hacked. IronKey also couples the drive with a secure online account, where you can back up and retrieve the device's password.
