Have an amazing sounding pair of cans but still using a banana hammock to hold them? A great sounding pair of headphones appreciates a great looking stand, and you will too once you see it beautifying your computer desk, living room or wherever you keep your headphones. You can spend a little or a lot on headphone stands, but luckily we have 5 that run the gamut and look good either way.
Sieveking Sound Omega Kopfhörerständer See above
Yeah, say that name five times fast. But that's about what we did when we saw these stands. Shaped like the human head that headphones are made to cling to, the Omegas are available in four wood veneers: maple, cherry, walnut and zebrine (ooh, ahh). It's made in Germany (so you know it's good!) from a single piece of wood and coated in lacquer. Apparently they're being cheaply (and poorly) reproduced in china so watch out for fakes. $179

Toys by Tam Professional Headphone Stand
This is another wooden headphone stand, this time in the more traditional vertical shape. They say it's made of "lake wood", wood that's apparently ages in a lake for years before being taken out and crafted into unique-looking headphone stands. Real "lake wood" or not, this is still an awesome looking stand. And there's only one left on Amazon! So get there first or start looking on ebay. $60

Audio Technica AT-HPS500
This stand is an import from Japan and as you can see is very minimalist. The glass makes it almost disappear behind your headphones so if you're totally enamored with the way your cans look this might be the stand for you. $63.99 (+$33 shipping)

Woo Audio Aluminum Headphone Stand
This is a great cheaper model from a company in Brooklyn. As you can see from the picture if you've got black or white headphones this model looks like the missing part of a set. Simple, functional and cheap. What's not to love? $29

Hamilton Headphone Holder
How many headphones do you own? One is never enough. For those who subscribe to the more is better philosophy, this is the stand for you. Or maybe you run a recording studio. Either way, this stand holds a ton of headphones. We can't give you an exact number because a) it depends on the headphones and b) we don't have the space for this holder in our house, but it does remind us of those luggage carriers at high-end hotels. And it's cheap! Overkill for most people. But cheap! $34.99

The ones in the top photo are not made from a single piece of wood like mentioned in the post. That is bent plywood. Big difference.
what about the Stax official stand made of a exotic Japanese wood- only £50
I've always wanted an animatronic zombie bust to hold my headphones. That would be the best.
The Toys by Tam stand looks like they took the charger/receiver for Sennheiser's wireless phones and made a copy out of wood.
Personally I use a $2 3M Command hook on the wall...
Neat stands. I use my IKEA KVART lamp, which is attached to my windowsill. Keeps things off my desk.
