One of our favorite finds at Renegade were Hilary Williams' large scale colorful screen prints. Incorporating Bay Area streets and landmarks as well as abstract shapes, squiggles, and occasionally animals, the layered pieces practically jumped off their black backings. We found ourselves mesmerized as we flipped through stacks of them.

I have a big print of hers! I totally fell in love with it upon sight at the Art Exchange on 16th. The one I have is called Valencia XYZ and it was my first original art purchase. As soon as I saw the above image, I recognized her style--I love it. I've kept it on its black matte board to lean on the molding above my bed for a nice earthquake-safe display!
man I wanted one of those but it was just too crazy expensive for a student like me!
