The HiLo Chair is here! Ever since we saw the HiLo Chair at ICFF way back in the spring, we've been waiting for it to show up in stores.

It's the chair that grows with your child - from 6 months to about 6 years - as it quickly converts from a high chair to a dining-height chair. (See our earlier post here.) It's the creation of Canadian company Age Design and was a runaway hit at ICFF.
The HiLo chair comes in four modern colors, asparagus, carrot, raspberry and portobello, and retails for $395. Find it here and here.

Wow, am I the only one who thinks this chair is hideous? And total overkill? It looks big and complicated enough to house an adult or restrain a hippo. Yeesh.
As for the convertibility: by the time your kid is mature enough to sit strap-free, she/he would feel imprisoned in this behemoth. What's wrong with a regular old chair?
