At $229, I wouldn't be putting this rug in my kid's rooms, cute as it is. Even with repeated steam cleaning, my (old old) carpet carries multiple amoxicillin stains from the early (spitty) years.
I agree that it's 'modern, eclectic, (and) playful' but I don't consider a $229 price tag affordable, especially in a child's room. I do think it's a great rug though.
