Setting up a home office for two isn't always easy, especially if both partners work from home and require enough work area for their daily tasks. Just like most things related to relationships, you need to compromise. Such was the case with this simple yet gorgeous dual desk setup, combined together into a single long workspace. The setup creates work areas that are together, yet apart, near mirror images of one another...
Double the furnishings, double the expense. But because the home office uses IKEA furniture, it's an affordable setup at just around $200. You'll find two discreet lamps, LED Jansjo work lights, hidden behind the two 27-inch iMacs, perfectly positioned to serve as ambient lighting and keeping inline with the minimalist appearances. The matching swivel chairs are the affordable, Skruvsta.Vika Amon and Vika Curry (in a discontinued color; brushed aluminum is no longer available on the IKEA website). The mousepad is from MacPadd, an aluminum surface complementing the Apple Store aesthetic.
You might have noticed one of the two is left handed. Greg's girlfriend works at the right side setup, although she sometimes uses her right hand, and by circumstance their hands are always close by within reach. Both self-professed Mac addicts use 27" iMacs, although Greg's model is from 2011 and hers is from 2010.
