Designed by Chris Kabatsi for Arktura, the steel Hive bench (or table) holds a complete, commanding look of bent steel, intricately designed cutout, and a bright powder coat finish. Details below:

On an Eco note, the Plush Pod product description states:
All of our steel and aluminum pieces are made using recycled content ranging from 35%-100%, and are completely recyclable. They are also produced with zero landfill waste generated during their production. The finishes are zero VOC which don't pollute during manufacturing and will not release toxins in the home. In addition all of our products are produced using solar and wind power.
What do you think? Is this unique pattern/cutout a super hot element or just a bit too spider-webby?
Price of the Hive Bench: $1790

It looks a little spider-webby, but it's cool. Pricey, but cool.
Ick. Too spider-webby and too expensive.
Stunning but too rich for my blood.
Not too expensive for all readers. Way cool.
wow--and just in time for halloween!
I would bet that those thin lines of metal would give in rather soon if used as a bench. There are a lot of hard ass, jean wearing people out there.
Absolutely gorgeous. Finally something different and new.
I love mid century, but I am to the point of oversaturation.
Thanks for posts of actual new design!
That's definitely a very cool bench. I wonder if they would consider a more girly one with a floral cutout?
Wow! Love how this looks! Too bad it's way out of my budget.
This makes me uncomfortable. Maybe I'm imagining those web lines pressed into my legs and creating horrible patterns on my thighs.
