hob-op: Custom Kindle Cases

hob-op: Custom Kindle Cases

It seems as though this holiday season a lot of people got the Kindle from Amazon. We've reviewed it, we've talked about it until we thought we couldn't talk about it any more &mdash but now there's the topic of cases.

hob-op is an Etsy shop that consists of custom made Kindle Cases. In recent years, we all feel pressured to have a case for every single piece of portable technology we own. I'm guilty of it too. I have a messenger bag that I made sure could fit my laptop (it also has a removable cell phone holder on the strap, too!), a separate Incase laptop bag, and 3 cases for my iPhone (in case one breaks, of course). So, if I were to own a Kindle &mdash I would most likely want a case for it as well.

The great thing about hob-op; they're willing to customize the Kindle cases to fit the Sony Reader and Nook as well. When placing an order, you have the ability to customize the order entirely. The Reader has to be held in place inside the case, so she gives you an option of velcro or corner straps. The amazing part &mdash you have several options when choosing your fabric. You can send her the actual fabric you would like her to use, or you can find fabric online and simply send her a link to it. She will purchase the fabric for you with no additional cost.

Of course you have the option of selecting one of the pre-made Reader Cases that she has pictured on the website. Both custom and pre-made cases are listed at $29.99.

Do you have a case for your Kindle, Sony Reader or Nook?
