So its a little early for Halloween, but when a costume this clever can be constructed with just a little tech know-how, we'd be fools not to pass it along. Flickr user evanbooth appears to have been shot straight through the torso with a cannon, leaving a gaping hole in the middle of his stomach that you can see right through. So it's pretty simply a video feed from a digital camera strapped to his back is being fed to a small LCD screen on his front. He writes:

This was my Halloween getup for '06. By using a travel DVD player strapped to my stomach, with video coming from a digital camera strapped to my back, it creates the illusion that I have a very large hole in my stomach.

From then on, cutting holes in your sweatshirt and applying the fake blood is up to you!
