Holiday Crafts for Kids (and Big Kids Too)

Apartment Therapy Video Roundup

What better way to spend time with your kids this weekend than making a creative, unique and totally handmade Halloween costume? We've got the video that shows you how right here, plus three more holiday crafts you can do with the kids, or with yourself just for the fun of it.

We love this idea for making cardboard costumes with your kids. All you need is a box, scissors, spray paint, and some glue or tape — your imagination is the only limit.

I love this idea for making holiday cards from patterns and textures you find around the house. Hunt with your kids for favorite shirts, book covers, bits of wrapping paper — anything you can fit into a scanner. Copy the patterns onto photo paper, et voila — instant, one-of-a-kind cards.

As a budding young Apartment Therapist, I loved nothing more than decorating for parties. Food blogger Maggie Battista offers these easy tips for decorating with Kraft paper.

And finally, here's a fun craft for the holidays (or any time of year): our classic Clementine candle DIY.

Thanks for watching, and happy crafting!
