A few weeks ago when we asked design lovers what they wanted this holiday season, there was a recurring theme: chic serving bowls. No wonder — they quickly dress up a dining table, plus they double as décor when not holding dinner. Here are your favorites, with a few of ours for good measure:
1. Utopia Carmen Bowl, Jonathan Adler $248
2. Deep Serving Bowl, Heath Ceramics $60
3. Circle Factory Large Tall Bowl, Room & Board $299
4. Wooden Salad Bowl, Wind & Willow Home $75
5. Splatter Bowl, Furbish $30
6. La Stanza dello Scirocco Basket, MoMA Store $150
7. Diamond Cut Nesting Bowls set of 4, DwellStudio $99

amazing things, that jonathan adler.
this might be one of the few posts where i actually really like all of the objects! 1,2 4, and 7 are my favorites.
I love 7 and 4!
In practical terms, I'm a HUGE fan of pottery (never, ever let me walk into a pottery studio with money. Ever.) and have a few large pottery bowls in a simple blue glaze that I love, and they go very well with a few antique serving platters. It looks lovely, and the simple white plates/blue bowls/otherwise modern room balances out the antique platter quite well.
