Holiday Giving: Shopping for a Greater Cause

It’s wonderful when we can give our loved ones the gift that they really want – and even better when that gift also gives to someone in need. If you want your gift giving to stretch even further this holiday season look no further than The Hunger Site.

The Hunger Site, founded ten years ago, makes shopping and charitable giving very easy. Their mission is to “help customers heal the world”. With its easy to navigate site, organized by Hunger, Breast Cancer, Child Health, Literacy, Rainforest and Animal Rescue, the shopper decides which organization will receive proceeds from the purchase. Each charity has a multitude of products for sale, some are products that you may see in other stores, others are exclusive Fair Trade items. Each product clearly states how much will be given and also gives you more information about who made the product.

The Hunger Site partners with a number of charitable organizations and they have a wealth of information about how you can make a difference with your dollars. Below is just a small sampling of some cool finds on their site.
