Holiday Style Ideas from Donna Hay

This year, we're hosting my family's Christmas Eve party for the first time — which means we'll be having 12 people for a sit-down dinner. The logistics will be mighty interesting (one oven, folding tables put end-to-end through our kitchen and living room), but I can't wait. While looking for simple, pretty tablescape ideas, I came across this trove from Donna Hay.Each of these ideas is great because it's simple and can be easily tailored to your tastes. While the photo styling on Hay's site makes everything look minimalistic, you can easily make each of these ideas as opulent as you want.

1. A table dressed in wrapping paper, with candy canes tucked in tied-on napkins.
2. A "favor tree" hung with chocolates for guests to sample.
3. Gifts wrapped in DIY pop-up wrapping paper.
4. Festive, star-shaped raspberry granita.
