OK, so random question, but I figure this would be the pertinent place to ask:
Does anyone know of an appraiser familiar with celebrity belongings/memorabilia that can come to me? I own a gorgeous gilt-wood headboard (supposedly) previously owned by Marilyn Monroe, but I can't really verify it's provenance because I can't really take it anywhere. It's made for a California King bed, and it is ENORMOUS. Plus, it's fairly fragile, so I really don't want to move it more than I have to. For reference: I am in AZ, and my mom received the headboard as a gift 25+ years ago. I am also unable to contact the gift-er. Any advice? Am I on a fools errand?
I always enjoy this feature in AD. Judging from the photos, the stars of yester-year were as varied in their styles as people are today.
LOVE that Kirk Douglas pad!
thanks for the link to the AD feature ~ love it!
