When we last caught a glimpse of what Eve Tombley was up to she was making things bright and bold inside, but now her efforts have turned outdoors with the help of her husband. They transformed their standard issue walk out basement and patio to the best transformation we've seen this summer! Click through to see how it turned out!
Transforming the under side of a deck in a space like this can be a little daunting. You can feel restrained to basic things, but not Eve! She went all out with faux forest curtains, brightly painted chairs, an outdoor rug, original weather friendly artwork and even a chandelier! Individually they are all great components to have in a space, but when used outdoors it not only added another room to their home, it's a great place to entertain and watch their family grow in their big backyard (which we're totally jealous of).

I've always had a soft spot for those birch-print IKEA curtains but was never sure where they could fit. I love them as an outdoor curtain.
I've also been pondering the plastic adirondack chair. I have nearly bought myself a pair of them probably 20 times this summer. I still think I prefer the idea of aged wooden ones, but the cheery plastic ones look awesome in this space.

Dianalily, we are considering planting some hostas and probably some taller shade plants on the wonky incline next year. I'd like it to have a sort of wildflower/pretty but haphazard appearance. We decided that too late this year, though.

I have this same space and have wondered what to do with it for yrs. This is it!! I love it. My top deck is not covered and it appears yours is open as well. Do have some type of ceiling or flooring on the deck to keep the rain out?
