This multi-functional furniture piece, shown at the recent Milan Furniture Fair, is inspired by Piet Mondrian's paintings. Designed by Matali Crasset, the open room furniture piece reminded us of other quirky home accessories that are similarly inspired by great works of arts. See our picks below the jump... Shown above are the MONA LISA DOOR MAT ($26), Andy Warhol Hot Red Lip Plates (set of 4 for $18.95), and the Venus lamp ($129, comes in three different colors). Below is the Picasso Chair. The fabric design includes images from Picasso's Guernica. We think it's interesting but wouldn't want Picasso's powerful image of the bombing of Guernica on our living room furniture.

Do you have a favorite furniture piece or home accessory inspired by an art masterpiece?
