From the New York Times, we found a clever idea that may just leave you on the edge of your seat. Or bed, that is. Kayt Brumder designed a lofted bed for her boyfriend that is "effectively supported" by a beam and reachable by storage stairs to the right of the desk. Let's just hope that support beam is as sturdy as she claims it to be.
Anyone else have experience with a lofted bed over a desk? If so, let us take a peek! Seems like a clever solution that easily doubles the space in any room.

I live in the dorms and some rooms have this setup... mine does... its good and bad at the same time because when you are soooo tired and you are trying to climb in or out of bed I always think I'm gonna fall down.
This does look like a neat setup... Any idea what is the make of the chair on the right hand side of the pic?
A lot of people have lofts in our dorms but they aren't attached to the wall, just up on four legs, so it doesn't save you quite as much space and definitely doesn't look as nice.
