Julie, the designer half of the duo, moved to Chicago in 2006 to jumpstart her interior design career. Jonathan, the millworker, returned to his home state of South Carolina a few years ago, where he has been creating custom furniture ever since. Long distance, the two got together and decided to create a line of tables based on state shapes. And 900 Blok was born.
Tables, which start at $200, are made from solid wood and are available in 16 colors. For more details, visit the 900 Blok website.

I really love the idea and the shape, but would prefer it if it were stained in a nice deep walnut color instead of painted white.
My boyfriend's from Colorado, I'll just say our square side table is his home state.
Very cool. I like it! I was thinking stained walnut would be beautiful in my home.
Genius!!!
So cute! Such a simple idea but still unique and nicely executed. I might pick up a FL one...after I get a bed, and a couch. It's going on my list!
Aw! The Ohio one is perfect as a side table <3
You could make Hawaii or PEI from discarded small pieces & put them on your wall.
so funny, they are just like the Canadian ones Gus modern makes.
maybe it's just me but i'm REALLY tired of the state map / subway map / street map / city map trends
if you are lovin these check out;

Great if you're from Illinois, or California, or one of the square states. What the hell do you do with a table shaped like Michigan though?
