This is the time of year when our tea and coffee consumption increases as the temperature drops. These images from Japanese fashion company Sally Scott capture the cold weather ritual of the tea or coffee break, complete with homey interiors, thick sweaters, and thrifted mugs.
Sally Scott is a fictional character, dreamed up by designer Akira Minagawa. Each season, the company creates a new day-in-the-life scenario for Sally, and this winter we see her hanging out at home with a magazine and a mug.
Although the purpose of the photos is to sell a specific lifestyle, we think they do a good job of capturing the cozy feeling of sitting down to coffee when it's snowing outside.
