Hot Pinks: Pantone's Honeysuckle & More

Color Therapy

'Tis the season for color previews. We’ll have broader trend forecasts in January, but for now let’s start with Pantone's announcement of 2011's Color of the Year: Honeysuckle.

Pantone picks Honeysuckle, a hot pink as it’s color to beat for 2011. As I kicked this one around the Apartment Therapy holiday party, people were surprised that "Honeysuckle" was pink, not chartreuse or yellow. I kept thinking about those hippy hibiscus teas that come out pink in the cup, but I think that’s another thing.

However, it must be noted how prescient we are, as Apartment Therapy has written extensively on the use of hot pink in the past. I’ll close with a few of my own photos, from the archive.
