An English version of the adorable French book, Popville, by Anouck Boisrobert and Louis Rigaud is due out this month by Corraini Press.
Suitable for adults and children alike, Popville is a pop-up book which tells the story of urban development in charming and unexpected simplicity. As in the real world, some elements remain constant while others fall victim to progress. According to Corraini, Popville represents,
"The city as a living body that is born, develops and differentiates its buildings and functions: from the very first nucleus (an isolated church among the trees in the countryside) to the huge metropolis crowded with streets, pylons, factories and stations."
