Host a Play Date

Host a Play Date

Do you feel like you just can't get organized? Toys are slowly taking over and you just can't come up with the right system or get motivated enough to do something? Invite a few people over for a play date. Here's why...

We've moved quite a few times in the last few years and our number one strategy for getting everything unpacked and set up the way we want it is to set a date for a little party and invite a bunch of people over. It's amazing how quickly things can get done when you're expecting guests.

So...the same holds true for your kids' areas. When we get ready to host a play date or play group, we find ourselves seeing our daughter's things and surroundings with fresh eyes. And after she sees a bunch of other kids playing happily with her toys, she seems to see them with fresh eyes as well.

Try it- pick a date and invite a few people over, and before they come- spend even a few minutes getting things organized. Once you start, you might find you're on a roll.
