looks functional and easy to clean, but what happens if the umbrella tip is not standard sized?
kinda reminds me of utters
Doesn't it seem like most people carry compact umbrellas these days, despite the romance of the Mary Poppins style? I picture they would just tip right over, in addition to completely disrupting the line and the visual the designer is going for.
I think I would like them better if they didn't look like there were made of cheap plastic.
If I :c another umbrella stand. Immmm gonnna scream. NO ONE CARES THIS TYPE ANYMORE!
I can't speak for San Francisco, of course, but here in New York, the split between folding and standard umbrellas is about fifty-fifty with the difference being made up by golf and other over and undersized varieties....
Any sort of tallish, waterproof wastebasket will hold more than four umbrellas in the same footprint and will accommodate any size of umbrella (or umbrella tip) without fuss. This looks like an example of Design By Over-Specification.
