I like the idea, but not the band.

Yeah, I agree with JonathanB.

The band looks so cheap and plain that it needs a watch face to take attention away from it. I can just see the look of condescension on someone's face (or is it pity?) when they ask me the time and I show them my tasteless watchless timeless bracelet.
On the other hand, it might go well with a mid-90's shimmery spandex mock turtleneck sweater and a cross-pendant earring in one ear.

Oh wait, that's the same hand.
