Jonathan Oxer's teched out home. The RFID chip implanted in his arm opens his front door without any keys. But that's only the beginning....we've broken down his home's tech specs below.
- An electronic sensor in the mailbox that detects mail and notifies him via e-mail or text message.
- The ability to turn on any light in his home using his cell phone or telephone keypad.
- No doorbell ring. When you press the doorbell, a video camera turns on as well as all the TVs in the house. If he's not at home, a photo of the guest is sent to his cell phone.
- A wired bathroom. When he enters the command "shower" into his phone, the bathroom lights turn on, windows clos, and water to a perfect temperature.
- Everything is wired from the sprinklers to the curtains.

chip implanted in arm?? Creepy. Turning on the shower with your cell phone? Why not just turn on the shower with your hands? I see the future of technology bringing us more simplicity, not this.
Although, I like the concept of being able to see who is at the door even if you are not home. UPS rings bell, camera in the door comes on and contacts you, you can see and speak to the delivery person. Perhaps overkill but fun to think about.
Putting a chip in your own arm? Just creepy.
I've put worse things in my body.
