it looks like it would be top heavy once there was water or food in the bowl. also acrylic lends itself to scratches and static cling, think of those dog hairs.
Yes, it's not practical and yes it's expensive for what it is, but it still looks hot.

Need a place for 2 bowls -- it'd look odd to put the food bowl on the floor next to the water podium.
