Every design firm we've visited seems to boast these handy little desk space savers. On paper, it makes perfect sense; make use of an articulating arm to mount your LCD screen and lift it up way above what your normal LCD stand would allow, giving new life to your desk and room to do work. We're fans of the idea, but the design itself reminds us of a robotics convention or a dental office - two places we'd rather not think about when we're chillin' out and browsing the web. What do you guys think?
Personally, I have a set of monitors that are in dire need of uplifting. The stands themselves collect dust like crazy and it becomes a hassle trying to dust behind the monitors every few weeks. Lifting them up would allow easy access to the un-utilized space behind the monitors and would probably give me more room to do my day-to-day tasks on the computer.
Anyone have experiences with articulating dual screen mounts? If so, we'd love to hear from you!
