Not for me; it might be cute for a kid's room.
But the irony is, there's not enough light to read in bed inside!
You won't let me vote but I have to say, I love books but I dont want to be totally surrounded by them when sleeping, much too claustrophobic and I love to be near an open window, even in winter.
Love it in this open floor plan space! Don't think it would look good in a small place though.
This would work well in the children's section of a bookstore.
why not just sleep in the library?
I have to agree with Sassydo. I love books but I want windows and openness when I am in bed.
I second hollandstudio... it looks like the kids book nook at the library...
KIDS ROOM! I love it for a kids room--especially for families in loft like living spaces, this creates a great space for a child to sleep. The shelves inside could be used for toys and baskets of clothing. Great idea!
Id love to sleep in a little dome bed like that even without the books.
I dont really like being out in the open when I sleep, dunno.
I adore it! I would find it very cozy and secure-feeling. Although it may not "work" in a grown-up decor. I agree it would be great in a kid or teens' room.
I'm such a big kid at heart!
One could do a similar thing, but without the "leafy" top, to make it not look like the children's book corner.
Personally, I love it.
I said Hot because if I were 12 I would ADORE this. I second the kids room notion. It's cute.
I love this!! So cozy!!
Reminds me of the blanket forts we would make as kids...
I'd conceal a large walk-in closet with a book hut, but NOT my bed.
reminds me of a yurt, rather than a hut.
cute for a kid or a hobbit
This idea is just fun! I don't think I could live in that permenantly but it would be fun for a weekend trip...
I'm a librarian, and even I wouldn't go for this. (I envision the bumps on my head from things falling when I flop over...)
As a child, I'd have adored this, being that I was (and still am) a huge reader. But it's a little juvenile now.
I do crave someday having a room in my house dedicated to being a library.
Totally reminds me of a book fort I tried to build in my bedroom as a kid with books and bookshelves. It was all cool until it fell down on me and my Mom nixed the whole shebang right after that.
The book igloo looks all cool and arty in the photos but anyone that has lived with lots of books, especially older books, knows how dusty and musty they are and can get. Not exactly a breath of fresh air they are breathing in there.
It would be fun to sleep in for a few days, but Nah, I'll pass on it as a longer term thing.
I once rented a (very small) room in Prague with books stacked floor to ceiling along the length of 2 entire walls. Had to use my inhaler every night before going to bed--the dust/must/ick factor made for quite unpleasant sleep! Definitely NOT hot.
It's adorable--but I'd use it only for naps.
