Dutch design studio Tweelink came up with the Bux de Luxe - a pouf made from leather in a plastic pot. Available in three colors, it has the look of an oversized succulent plant - hot or not?

conceptually fun, but not hot.
It looks as tacky as it sounds.
Exactly! I love that they exist, but I don't want them. At all.
I think that in a really fun greenhouse, it might work. Whimsical.
The green one is hot, the others--not. But I agree that it would only work in a plant-filled room, or maybe a covered patio.
It looks like an ice cream cone, and not in a good way.

Not at all.... trying to see it in a child's room but I am not even sure about that.
They look supremely uncomfortable, not to mention tacky. (Plastic?? Please.)
Misbegotten. It doesn't work aesthetically or in practical terms (seems like it would tip over if you were sitting on it and leaned over). They also cost about 200 euros. Rubbish.
They're not for me, but some interiors desperately need a punch of humor.

This is exactly something I would see in the Sky Mall mag on the plane, turn to my boyfriend, show him and say: "You like this? Huh? Yeah? You want some of these? Really, I'll get you two of them!" And then he punches me in the arm.
It looks like it could almost work, but not quite. I agree that it looks like it would tip over too easily. It actually gave me another idea for outdoor seating, though: use a sturdier pot (clay instead of plastic), turn it upside down, and add a flat circular cushion.
They look like cupcakes! Mmmmm...getting hungry for one right now!

Wow, they do not look like they were meant to sit on. The top part is so large that I wonder how unattractive they would look as someone sits on one and the whole cushion squishes down and oozes out all around their butt. And if it's stiff enough to not do that then it's probably super uncomfortable. and super ugly.
Disaster!
