Sold in sets of 4 sheets (9x12 each) for $19.99, these are vinyl-coated for a "wipe clean surface" (especially important in the kitchen).

I voted for "hot", but I'd like to say "lukewarm". They're a good idea, but seem better suited to a child's room.
Looks like a good idea to me. I would just be concerned about it ruining the finish underneath.
No. My kitchen surfaces and utensils and knives and whatnot do not need a coat of chalk dust added to the regular dust. And that stick of chalk pictured? It's going onto the stovetop when the cabinet is opened. And the humidity changes in the kitchen will cause them to warp and curl around the edges eventually, too, I'll bet. I'd vote NO twice if I could. Heh...
I think it looks nice, and as a chronic note-writer and list-maker, it would suit someone like me. As long as no chalk dust ends up in my food, I'd be fine with it.
Chalkboard sticker, no. Dry erase board sticker, yes.
My first thought was about chalk dust too, but if they're vinyl-coated, maybe they don't get as dirty as your typical chalkboard? And it sounds like they're easy to clean.
I wouldn't buy them (they're pricey and I'm more likely to get a dry-erase board for the fridge than bother with these), but I'm not opposed to the idea.
I've had them in my kitchen for the past 18 months or so and I love them. Grocery lists, work reminders, etc.

Seems like a cool idea for the ugly cabinets in my rental that I can't paint. I think dry-erase decals would be cool too.

I just found chalkboard contact paper on Amazon for $14.99 per 18" by 6' roll. Definitely a better deal and more flexible for cupboard shapes, too.
They sell "chalkboard paint" at home depot. I'd sooner try that than a decal but I like the idea.
I'd rather use it on a patch of wall though, maybe for a kids coatroom.
And AT is wondering if Imperial Trellis is stale...
I don't get putting your grocery list on a chalkboard - don't you just have to copy it onto a piece of paper before heading out? if so, wouldn't it make more sense to put it down on a piece of paper in the first place?
