I grew up with cane chairs...ever try dusting one of those things? I'll pass.
if you combine two together as shown, it can be multi-functional---coffee table by day, then throw a dog cushion in there at night and you have a crate for your pooch...
My parents had a tablecloth with that can pattern (that scale, too!) when I was kid back in the '70's. Hated it then; hate it now.
The black one looked like a modern take on moroccan coffee table at first glance! Not bad. Maybe the yellow etc. aren't as cool though.

Add a glass top and I feel OK about it. Otherwise, totally pointless with all those holes.
