It's a kitchen table- no wait, it's a playhouse/fort. Actually, it's a kitchen table that converts in minutes into a tiny hideout. Hidden panels are pulled down, and the roof is raised.
We're all about furniture that can do double duty for kids, but what do you think? Would you use this as a kitchen table? Watch it transform here.

Sure! Why not?! Our table is already a make believe fort/cave. This table looks a little plain Jane but could probably easily be spruced up to make it cuter. I would use it as a kids table/homework table anyway.
On closer look it looks alot like a dog house.
Neat!
Isn't there something lost when children aren't free to use their imagination and ingenuity to make a house or a fort themselves out of blankets, cushions and whatever else they can come up with?
I remember making a fort out of a crocheted blanket and chairs. I think half the fun was trying to come up with the "how" of making a fort. This doesn't leave a lot of room for imagination.
I like it!
Our kitchen table has been a fort, house, and cat house for months.
As fun as it is to create a fort from your own imagination, I think there is also value in having a well-made, interesting object in the house that teaches children about multi-use design and thinking outside the box, if you'll pardon the pun.
