Though this wall hanging is made from "raw organic Drenthe Heath wool, Teeswater sheep wool, German mountain sheep wool, silk chiffon, merino wool, and raw silk," I can't help thinking it looks like an animal skin. Is it the shape? Does that matter? I think I might love it, but I'm still not sure. Tell us...do you?
A lot of time and love went into creating this $549 wall hanging. Handmade in Lithuania, this piece is available through Etsy store Vilte.
Price aside, what do you think about this?

Ugh no, I really don't like it at all. Mangy hairball.. Just not my style.
Looks like the hide of a diseased animal, which is not really to my taste. Possible "Regretsy" material?
Sorry, but it looks like something the cat threw up.
Mange!
my gosh..horrible...did someone skin their sick dead dog and hang it on the wall?
Looks like road kill....
there is much, much more on etsy in fine art than this stuff. frankly, i'm a little tired of only crafty stuff getting seen. i sell both in my etsy store, but there is some very beautiful worthwhile fine art on etsy & i'm sorry but i'm not putting this felted piece in that grouping. i'd encourage you to expose those artists.

I second the roadkill comment. Heck I will scrape up the next aesthetically pleasing roadkill I find and sell it to you for only 39.95 plus shipping, but wait there's more! For 39.95 you will get not only this aesthetically pleasing one-of-a-kind road kill but this flattened bit of road leather as well (assorted animals).
That looks like mold.
Thirding the roadkill.
Honestly it looks like an ill kept or abused dog that was skinned and hung on the wall. Not my bag :)
Now if it was hanging on the wall in a super modern all concrete condo....it might fit but would still look like an abused animal skin on the wall.
Ick. Just Ick.
It looks like someone clubbed and skinned a mutant Wookie and hung it on a wall. I'll pass.
no.
would look perfect next to a Nagle painting circa 1980. and just as ugly.
