We remember the great AT reader interest in the past for those lighted flower branches, so when we saw this frangipani light chain, we just had to ask...hot or not?

Funny, I noticed this in a bar downtown yesterday :-)
The flowers are actually frangipani (not pangi) but I grew up in Hawaii calling them plumeria.
I think their "cute" in that they could really work in certain situations but be so very very wrong in others.
*they're, not their!
they're kind of sweet in the pic above but bakek is right -they could go so wrong!
This would be nice on a porch or deck area.
@bakek -- Hah! I was just going to say, "You know, these look like plumerias..." <3
These flowers have a few names XD Frangipani is the common name, Plumeria is the genus, and there's a stack of others. Including, in India, Champa. Yes - these are the flowers they make Nag Champa incense out of! (I KNEW I adored Nag Champa for a reason!)
Frangipanis are my favourite flowers EVER. These lights are gorgeous - I want them!
There was a 'Good Question' the other day from a person with built-in shelves stacked with Indian tchotchkes and devotional objects - these lights would make a sweet garden/temple backdrop for that sort of thing. If you're going to kitschville, go all the way.
Ooo, they need these in the Frangipani room at IU.
I usually hate icicle lights, but I like that the cords for these are incorporated into the design. They are supposed to be seen.
