Some of his stuff is a little too organic for me but I like this, maybe because it's not metal. Funny thing, I JUST got a little T & Co. blue box delivered to me 20 minutes ago!!!! ...a gift from my babe for my birthday!!!
We always read the Tribune online (we're in Europe for now) and just yesterday there was a clickable ad for this new line, so I clicked and while this is not one of my faves, there is a rock vase that comes in both large and small that is quite gorgeous!
At a first glance I though "What a strange basin!", then went to the product page and read it is a bowl and just white option and one single size, not much to choose from in there, but this opinion could change if I would see it in person. But that's because I saw this new basins with 8 colors availabe, and there are others with several sizes.
Some of the jewelry stuff he does isn't bad ... and some of it looks like spiky death baubles. Hit or miss (just like his buildings!).
I just got this necklace from his line last weekend. It's really simple but looks striking worn.
Alas, Chicago's turtleneck weather means I probably won't wear it until May...
i thought it was a bedpan
Cool! Storm Trooper helmet!
Looks like a bidet!!
I would never in my wildest dreams pay $150 for a bowl.
I couldn't figure out what it was by the photo.
The pics on the Tiffany site do not do this collection justice. I don't understand why they shot them on white. It takes away the depth and detail of the pieces. I've seen them in the window at Tiffany and they are gorgeous.
The way the collection seems to meld sharp angled edges into a modern interpretation of organic shape made me an instant fan. Between this and a number of furniture and graphic designs I've seen over the past 6 months, I'm seeing a new trend which I'm labeling "Bizarro" - because they're off kilter modern and remind me of the angles on "Bizarro Superman's" face. (yes I know. that's weird)
If you happen to pass a Tiffany you should stop in and check them out.
