Looks like it belongs in a stereotypical bachelor pad.
I don't understand the headboard. Are they suggesting that you should adjust the headboard so that you can use it as a pillow?
It's all the leather! Every piece of seating in my sisters boyfriends house is leather. Since he has lots of money they are expensive pieces but still, you couldn't pay me to put them into my place. Leather always grossed me out, long before I went vegetarian. You slide off it, it's cold in the winter, sticks to your skin in the heat of the summer. Very quintessential bachelor pad, if you are the kind of bachelor that has money to burn that is.
Don't want to sleep on dead cows. I prefer my cows living.
Nougat nails it. This is exactly the kind of piece that turned me off from "modern" and kept me stuck in "transitional" for a long time -- black leather, vaguely campy, like it's best suited for devotees of the S&M/B&D lifestyle. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just not my bag...
That bed is from a bachelor pad... of the FUTURE!!! (DUN dun duunn..)
They put that macho black leather on this dainty little frame with tapered legs and a fey little bolster at the foot of the bed. Alice in S&M Wonderland.
Agreed- Cows are better off living!
Looks like a giant examination bed. Do they suggest paper sheets?
I could give or take the leather, But I actually like the concept of "convertible" furniture items like this bed. For awhile, I had my eye on a couch where the arms and back panels could be moved or removed to create different looks. I'm actually thinking this bed might look sweet in light tan suede (sorry, but some leather can luxurious).
When modern design goes wrong...horribly, horribly wrong.
Besides, sleeping on leather=icky!
It looks like a perfect bed... for DARTH VADER.
What's next? Leather sheets, leather bathrobe and maybe leather pj's?
I love the lines, but not the leather. Regular upholstery, some nice cotton, I'd be all about it.
