Looks a little too much like you are taking a dump in it.
Looks more like a giant chamberpot.
i like it! i'd take one!
Why did they decide to take a picture of the stool in a bathroom and what looks like an alley?
ditto on the toilet bowl concept
i don't understand the point of it. why a tea cup instead of something other object? a mug? a soda can? a lamp? using mizrahi's cliched phrase, i'm so underwhelmed.
I love coffee....so I would like to have one just as a decor piece. I, however, would not even consider putting in in the bathroom. Actually, it would be cooler open in the middle for plants.
I too immediately thought of a chamberpot. A definite no.
Total chamberpot... But if teacup is the main idea, how about some gold filigree on the side or something?
This might work if it were upside down, but the filled in top makes it look less like a teacup.
Not sure what to think of this one. My first reaction was CUTE, followed by IT LOOKS LIKE A TOILET.
First thought: Looks like a toilet!? As that's a pretty universal first reaction, I'm not sure if this is going to be a hit...
slowdown, I agree, the photo locations are odd. Also, I too feel that this looks too much like a toilet.
Yeah, I really can't imagine it looking less like a toilet even if it were in a living room or in another color or gilded. Maybe if it was broken?
i have issues with oversized representations of small objects.
Life size pencils? yuck. enormous paperclip hung on my wall? heebie jeebies. big ass tea cup? i think i'll pass, mainly because it makes me want to pass out.
I agree -- looks far too much like a toilet for me to envision it as anything else.
To quote Ruscha: “Good art should elicit a response of 'Huh? Wow!' as opposed to 'Wow! Huh?'”
It would be funnier, albeit worse, if there were two girls sitting on that cup.
I think it's funny BECAUSE it looks like a toilet, but I'm sort of twisted that way. Shock value is highly underrated as a design element. It comes in other colors that are much less reminiscent of a toilet.
I suppose the fact that is it white and sitting next to a sink, at first glance, gives us the impression of a toilet. Look #2, nope, still looks like a toilet.
what I want now is a toilet that looks like a teacup (con saucer)
might be kind of fun in a kids room but otherwise i agree with MsAmanda 100%. whimsical oversized versions of normally small objects = gross
it would be nice with a plant or three on it---otherwise not hot at all.

Hahahahahahaha!!!

That's what I thought this was at first glance . . . which might actually be kinda funny. The sink could look like a saucer, and the tub like a cream pitcher.
Kinda of silly I think...it looks like it should have a flush handle?
I'm so glad I wasn't the only one that thought this looked like a toilet.
So corn ball!
And I would feel like I was shrinking ... just had to add that ...
i think the point of it is that you would feel like you'd shrunk...it was inspired by alice in wonderland right?! the point of it is not just that its an oversized object - its the story and ideas it represents! the way it makes you feel, the surrealism of it... check out holly's website - explanation there > www.hollypalmeronline.co.uk im not sure what kind of toilets you guys are using?? lol
