Hot or Not?: Lladro Rocking Chicken

My mother had a small Lladró collection, and while we never understood the appeal of it, Lladró fans are diehards. So, what's your opinion on the Rocking Chicken. (That was our favorite dance in the 70's, by the way.)

Did we mention this thing is $900?

I find Lladro to be creepy. And not in a good way. Also the price is frightening--you could buy a piece of beautiful art pottery for that.

not really into that type of stuff, and I'd rather spend that kind of money on something else.

I cannot even imagine how disturbing this would be for a small child.

Just another item to sit around and gather dust.

Ick, Lladro. I hate Lladro and other collectibles of its ilk - crystal, Hummels, Precious Moments, etc. My mom has several LLadro pieces all of girls with geese. She asked my sister and I who wanted them after she died. We both practically shouted "not it!". I think she was a little offended.

And why a chicken? Why not a rocking horse? And $900? As if.

"NOT" to the figurine, but if that rocking chicken were a real toy and full size, hell, I would want one!

Lladros in general? No thanks. But this green chicken cracks me up!

I would never spend $900 on it though.

I like the chicken part. That's fun. The rest sucks, and the price is scary.

This looks a little small for most kids to ride...

I collect all things eccentric and kitsch. And not even I would touch this thing with a ten foot pole! *shudder* I'm going to have nightmares, now. Thanks so much. ;) lol

Umm kinda fugly, and for that price I'd rather support independent artists. Not that I have $900 to spend on a dust-catcher you understand... Besides, it looks like parts from three different kinds of things, the "style" of the boy, and the chicken, and the glittery base with the presents are all very different. Overall, pretty yucky

no on the piece and price, but when i first saw it i thought i t was some conceptual artist's take on figurines of this genre. i mean, who thought up that chicken? i have to go with design.is.good-- i'd take a full size chicken for sure.

I'm not much for figurines, but I would love an actual rocking chicken like that...

I third the idea of a life-size rocking chicken.

Not for me, though.... something to creep out my neice's or nephew's parents, though. That would be fabulous.

I'm one of the seven who think it's pretty rad. A rocking chicken? Fuck yeah!!! Very Nara-esque.
